Joe Beaver

Joe Beaver was born on Oct. 13, 1965 in Victoria, Texas.  He became a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association (PRCA) in 1985, the same year he won his first World Championship.  When he's not on the road, Joe resides with his wife, Jenna and son, Brody in Huntsville, Texas.

  • Placed in five rounds at the Wrangler NFR with partner Cole Bigbee winning the ninth and tenth rounds with times of 4.4 and 3.9 seconds, respectively.
  • Tied for the average title at the Pendleton (Ore.) Round-Up.
  • Won the average title at the Ellensburg (Wash.) Rodeo.
  • Ipe & Stampede (Armstrong, British Columbia).

  • Placed in seven rounds at the Wrangler NFR winning the first round in a time of 7.7 seconds.

  • 2005 – Won the team roping title at the War Bonnett Roundup Rodeo (Idaho Falls, Idaho) with Dennis Gatz; won tie-down roping titles at Rodeo De Santa Fe (N.M.) and at the Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo (Stephenville, Texas); was co-champion in the tie-down roping at the Fourth of July Youth Celebration and PRCA Pro Rodeo (Window Rock, Ariz.). Finished the year 23rd in tie-down roping with $41,961; 50th in team roping with $13,952 and 13th in the all-around with $55,912.
  • 2004 – Won all-around titles at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, West of the Pecos (Texas) Rodeo and the Silver Spurs 114th Semi-Annual Rodeo (Kissimmee, Fla.); Won team roping titles at Buc Days ProRodeo (Corpus Christi, Texas) with Mike Bacon, Silver Spurs 114th Semi-Annual Rodeo (Kissimmee, Fla.) with Dennis Gatz, Cloverdale Exhibition & Rodeo (Surrey, British Columbia) with Houston Hutto, and won Tour round at La Fiesta de los Vaqueros (Tucson, Ariz.) with Mike Bacon; won tie-down roping titles at Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo (Vernal, Utah), Colorado State Fair (Pueblo), won Tour round at San Angelo (Texas) Rodeo, was a semifinalist at Pace Chute-out (Las Vegas), Pace Challenge (Omaha, Neb.) and Pace Classic (Dallas) and placed in five of 10 rounds at the Wrangler NFR, finishing second in Round 10 with a time of 7.4 seconds and was second in the average at the Wrangler NFR. Finished the year seventh in tie-down roping with $139,522, 17th in the team roping with $38,282 and third in the all-around with $178,167.
  • 2003 – won tie-down roping title at Snake River Stampede (Nampa, Idaho) and was co-champion at Rodeo Royal (Calgary, Alberta); finished the 2003 season ranked 11th in tie-down roping with $82,828, 29th in team roping with $23,651, and 10th in the all-around with $108,042.
  • 2002 – Won all-around titles at St. Paul (Ore.) Rodeo, Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Clackamas County Fair & Rodeo (Canby, Ore.); won tie-down roping title at Colorado State Fair & Rodeo (Pueblo.); won team roping title (with Brad Culpepper) at Logandale (Nev.) Rodeo and was co-champion at Cody (Wyo.) Stampede.
  • 2001 – Won tie-down roping titles at American Royal Rodeo (Kansas City, Mo.) and the Snake River Stampede (Nampa, Idaho); co-champion at New Mexico State Fair (Albuquerque).
  • 2000 – Won all-around titles at La Fiesta de los Vaqueros (Tucson, Ariz.), Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo (Rapid City, S.D.), Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and Colorado State Fair (Pueblo); won tie-down roping titles at the Copenhagen Cup Finale (Las Vegas), Cloverdale Rodeo & Exhibition (Surrey, British Columbia) and Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo (Austin).
  • 1996 – Won Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and Southwestern Exposition & Livestock Show (Fort Worth, Texas).
  • World champion runner-up in the all-around race in 1991, 1993-94 and 1997.
  • Won Wrangler NFR aggregate title in 1987-88, 1992 and 1996.
